I'm an Industrial Designer in Toronto. I believe in technology-based innovation and authentic, craft-based traditions.
I currently work for Teknion, a systems furniture manufacturer where I design and develop new products with our in-house team and contract designers.
In 2012, I completed my Bachelor of Industrial Design from Carleton University in Ottawa, where I learned about manufacturing processes and honed my creative process. In 2010, I went abroad to Melbourne where I studied automotive design, glass production, and interface design at Monash University.
Previously, I worked in San Francisco for Photojojo, an online store for photography accessories. I led the product development for IRIS, a photographic lens system for camera phones. I came up with the product definition by envisioning the design brief, then directed the product design and engineering team, then led a manufacturing team in China to bring the product to market.
Other experiences include:
-Canada Post, where I re-designed mail delivery systems.
-A Wheelchair Startup, where I collaborated with a marketer and engineer to design a new transport chair from scratch.
-Umbra, where I worked with senior designers to bring new products to market.
