This was a project in collaboration with my friend Caleb Hill . We wanted to create an installation for the Winnipeg Folk Festival.
We got the idea to make a dual-eye kaleidoscope that could be hand cranked by the viewer. We prototyped it and it worked great! So we took it to the next level of refinement.
We 3D printed most of the parts on my home made 3D printer ...
... building the mirrors and eyepiece.
 Getting ready for assembly.
Caleb is setting up the tripod. Will it hold up? We weren't sure exactly what abuse it would get from the week long of festival goers!
The location was great! A nice hillside in the middle of a prairie national park in Winnipeg.
